When you make the decision to market information products on the ‘net, your first step is in conducting some niche research to see which target audience could provide you with a virtual goldmine of profits.

You can’t just come up with a single idea for a narrow niche audience and expect that to be enough to deliver financial security for the long-term.  Instead, you want to tap into a niche with endless possibilities, or at least enough to make your product development worthwhile.

Let’s say you decided to create a wedding planning guide in eBook form as your first information product.  If you’re new to the business, then you might instantly think of creating a massive info product that covers everything in detail, from A to Z.

Yet, a lot of times website owners think that all that they have to do is to incorporate keywords in page tags and include some keyword mentions in their articles. While SEO copywriting not exceedingly hard, writing for search engines is more complex than that.

“Search engine optimization copywriting” or SEO, is a method of writing viewable or easily scanned text on your web page which is very acceptable and readable for the internet user as well as targets certain or exact search terms, having the purpose of ranking high in search engines.

E-Book Questions

October 29, 2008

The image ?http://www.cindysdesktop.com/wp-content/uploads/CoffeeLaptop.jpg? cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Okay - I’m ready! After reading several posts about ebook package sales, I’m going to jump in the boat, too. I have a ton of stuff I used for other purposes, (homeschooling, tutoring, resources, etc.) that I can whip into ebooks in a fairly short amount of time and sell in a package sale format. I already have a couple of my hardcover unit studies that I sell in an ebook format, but if I’m going to do 10-12 more, I have further questions:

What is the ideal length for an ebook?
What is the usual font size for an ebook?
Do color “covers” make them sell better?
What is the best download size for an ebook?
If I sell 10 as part of a package, do I create one massive download file that contains all ten? Or, do they download individually? Read more

Avoiding Work at Home Time Stealers

October 26, 2008

The image “http://www.talk-a-latte.com/ebooks/MomOnline.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Why is it because you have chosen to work from home that your time becomes easy pickings for everybody else? You know that if you had a regular job, people wouldn’t think of interfering.

You know the drill. Can you drop what you’re doing to help out at today’s bake sale at church? Would you mind looking after their sick child for the day because they have a J.O.B. and can’t stay home? While you’re home, pick up the dry cleaning or stop at the post office for that parcel and on and on it goes.

Short of alienating everyone, it’s not easy to say no when they know and you know that you don’t have any firm time commitments. It doesn’t make it any less irritating that no one seems to value your time or what you are doing with your day. Stop and think about it, how much value do you put on what you’re doing?

Basics of SEO that You Need to Know

October 25, 2008

The image “http://www.talk-a-latte.com/ebooks/MomOnline.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Today, even the smallest company uses the Internet as their main tool in building a customer base, keeping in contact with their clients and as their most basic means of advertising.

Have a Purpose!

October 22, 2008

You gotta have a purpose.  Something that drives you.  Something that is waiting at the end of the journey — at the completion of your project.

One young man started writing as a tribute to his loving parents who through unbelievable challenges had raised him with unconditional love and full support.  As a way to thank them, he decided to write a book, hopefully have it published, and present it to them for their 50th wedding anniversary.  Not only did he get his book published and completely surprised his loving parents, but he went on to a full-time career in journalism.

He had a purpose, a real purpose that drove him to succeed.  Keeping your objective in sight is much easier when you’re excited about your work and strive to succeed at your goals.  The great thing is that you’re never too young or too old!

Why not get started tonight? Reach for that purpose!
