Build Your Brand with Guest Blogging
January 30, 2010
Blogging is such a big business these days. It is a great way to communicate with other business people as well as customers or even just friends. As an online business owner or professional blogger, writing for others can get you noticed and build your reputation.
What is a brand? It is your unique stamp. With big product companies like Pepsi-Cola or Nike, it is their trademark product and tag lines. But, they didn’t start that way. No one knew who either of them was or that they were solid products until they were marketed and that brand reinforced with endorsements and such from people we did know.
So, how can guest blogging help?
Well, first of all you have to have a blog or website of your own. You can’t establish a brand unless you have a place to showcase it in the first place. It may take a while, but your blog can establish a loyal following you can count on to follow you other places. Read more

How Do I Get Traffic to My Site????
August 11, 2009
What is your biggest blogging struggle?
Recently I asked our Blog and Podcast eGroup what their biggest struggles/needs as a blogger/podcaster were. I came away with some great feedback. One of the top questions was, “How do I get traffic to my site?”
A blog without readers is pretty much useless. If you’ve been blogging for a while and have only been getting a trickle of viewers to your posts, you need to put a traffic building plan into action. Building traffic is just as an important skill to bloggers as writing quality posts is. Many bloggers are terrific at creating content but don’t know a thing about building traffic. Here is a quick guide to the five most popular (and most effective) traffic building techniques.
1. Get SOCIAL!
Social networking and blogging go hand in hand. Your blog posts can be distributed across social networking channels in many different ways. Sign up for Twitter and tweet about your posts as soon as they are added to you blog. Update your Facebook status with a link to your new blog posts. Submit your stories to Read more
Getting Started (or RE-STARTED) Blogging!
August 9, 2009
Blogging. Ready to begin your own blog, but totally overwhelmed? Not sure where to begin or even what to do? Have no idea of how to get started (or restarted) on the right track? Well, dear friend, this article is FOR YOU! Let me take you by the hand and share some ideas that have worked for me…
1. Get a vision. First things first. Who are you? What are YOU all about? What is YOUR message? When others come to you, what do they ask you? Take some time to really think this one out. Your blog will only be a success when you find YOUR voice. Pull apart and get a vision. Keep your blog simple, clear, uncluttered, and focused. Stick to who you are. Don’t change up every day. Don’t add in content that does not go along with your message. Get a vision for what you are to be all about and be ONLY that.
2. Set it up right. Don’t take short-cuts. If you want to build a successful business, invest in your “home on the web.” This is not an area to skimp by or put off. Read more

Easy How-To’s: Add a Button to your Sidebar
January 24, 2009
Sidebar buttons are a quick and easy way to affiliate with, promote, or endorse a company or website you believe it.
How you add a button to your sidebar depends in large part on the type of site you have. For example if you have a WordPress blog then it’s going to be a different process than if you have a HTML site.
Here it is in a nutshell –
First you’ll want to click on the button image and save it on your desktop. If you’re using Blogger then you’ll have to upload the image into an image host like Photobucket or Flickr.

How to Install Twitter Bar Quick and Easy!
December 5, 2008
TwitterBar is a Firefox “add on” which makes Tweeting or posting on Twitter a quick and easy process. TwitterBar is a small icon which hangs out in the upper right hand corner of your browser’s address bar – where you type your URL. Hover over the little grey dot and you’ll see how many characters you have left in your post. (Twitter allows 140 characters per post)
To get TwitterBar installed on your browser you will first need to be a Firefox user. Firefox is a free web browser like Internet Explorer by Mozilla. To grab and install TwitterBar visit:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4664
Go ahead and click on the green Add to Firefox button in the middle of the screen. If you do not presently use Firefox then you’ll first want to go to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and download it for free. Want Something FUN and POWERFUL? Try Twitterbar!
December 4, 2008
In its relatively short existence, Twitter has become one of the most popular social applications online. Its simple concept of posting short messages and having them displayed to friends has taken the Web by storm. Twitter is a favorite application of bloggers, online marketers, and everyday Web surfers. The application’s popularity has led to a huge number of users, as well as some applications designed to make it even easier to use.
Twitter allows users to post messages via their website or from the user’s cell phone. Demand for an easier way to post online was great and out of that demand, several applications were born. Some were based on desktop applications, while others resided in the browser’s sidebar. And some, like Twitterbar, were altogether different.
