Why Write TODAY???
March 12, 2007
Oh! I think it is absolutely vital that YOU begin TODAY to write! Why? Well, let me share some of my favorite quotes. I think these verbalize my heart perfectly today! Here we go…
“Call me addicted to writing, but something in me really believes that every person with a life has something to write. There is an interest in there somewhere. There is information inside of that mind that someone else out there needs to know. It may be hidden under doubts and fears. It may be a bit reluctant. It may have no idea where to begin. Or it may be busting at the seams ready to pour onto paper! But, you, YES YOU, can be a writer too!” Cindy Rushton, Homemade Books! YES! You CAN Be a Writer Too!
“I guess it was inevitable. If you read that many books… if the books become your companions throughout life… if memories are forged for families through the pages of books… I guess at some time or another, it is inevitable that you will get the “idea†that you can write a book too. That is just what has happened in our home, but that is not all! Now, we are all addicted to writing books! As soon as a topic becomes our passion, you can almost see the heart beating wildly until it pours out completely into yet another book.” Cindy Rushton, Homemade Books! YES! You CAN Be a Writer Too!
“These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but minds alive on the shelves.â€
Gilbert Highet
“Take all the words available in the human vocabulary and read them from the dictionary, and you have only a list of words. But with the creativity and imagination God has given human beings, let these words flow together in the right order and they give wings to the spirit. Every child ought to know the pleasure of words so well chosen that they awaken sensibility, great emotions, and understanding of truth. This is the magic of words—a touch of the supernatural, communication which ministers to the spirit, a gift of God.†Gladys Hunt, Honey for a Child’s Heart
“We write this to make our joy complete.â€
1 John 1:4
My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King;
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.â€
Psalm 45
“Thus says the Lord, The God of Israel: Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book.â€
Jeremiah 30:2
“Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.â€
1 Corinthians 10: 31b
“And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and confirm and establish the work of our hands—yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it.â€
Psalm 90:17 (Amplified)
“My heart overflows with a good theme;
I address my verses to the king;
my tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.â€
Psalm 45
“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.†Jeremiah 31: 25
